Securing Your Mobile Device: Is It Too Much to Ask?

Burney recommends a number of measures to secure a mobile device, including using a passcode, backing up files to the web, using a service to locate lost devices, and, if a firm can afford it, utilizing mobile device management software.

A Hybrid Approach to Litigation Support – There’s no “easy button” in litigation support, but that hasn’t stopped lawyers and law firms from trying to find one.

E-discovery consultant Brett Burney authored an article entitled “A Hybrid Approach to Litigation Support” for the June 2014 ILTA White Paper “Litigation and Practice Support: Discovery Solutions: Process, Products and Progress.”

The article explores how law firms can find a balance between using litigation support tools in-house and outsourcing appropriate tasks to outside vendors and service providers.

The big decision when considering a hybrid approach to litigation support is when to outsource work and when to keep work in-house.
